Abstract
The article examines the linguistic approach to the study of textile industry terminology. Special attention is paid to the specifics of the formation, functioning, and classification of terms in this field. The importance of systematic and comparative analysis in the study of textile terminology in different languages is emphasized. The main principles of term formation are described, as well as the influence of professional and cultural context on the terminological system.
