Observations on the Literary Legacy OF Avizmuhammad Nozil Hojandi in the Cultural Environment OF the 18th AND 19th Centuries in Kokand
Abstract
During his lifetime, Avizmuhammad Nozil Hojandi's divan titled "Hashviyotnama" has been praised by critics for its poetic depth. However, there is a lack of historical context about the manuscript, its scribe, and its compiler. The divan consists of 44 pages. While scholars in Uzbek and Tajik literary circles have discussed this collection, specific poems within the divan have not received detailed attention. This article aims to provide comprehensive information on the collection, as Avizmuhammad Nozil Hojandi's literary legacy, particularly his contributions to the genre of Hashviyot, holds significant importance in the literary environment of Kokand during the 18th and 19th centuries, both in terms of its style and thematic content.
