Abstract

This research work explores the celestial perceptions of heavenly bodies held by ancient peoples, including lunar and solar eclipses, earthquakes, shooting stars, comets, and mythical celestial legends related to natural phenomena. It examines their genesis and stages of development, while also providing commentary on the analysis of folk interpretations of the mythological nature of such events. The ideas are grounded in cosmogonic research theories of prominent global scholars such as M. Andreev, B. Litvinsky, E. Tylor, G. Potanin, S. Katash, E. Temkin, and the Uzbek folklorist Mamatkul Juraev.
