Developing students' spatial thinking through artificial intelligence and immersive technologies in teaching engineering and computer graphics
Abstract
This article analyzes the pedagogical possibilities of using artificial intelligence and immersive technologies in teaching the subject of Engineering and Computer Graphics. The research examines the existing shortcomings of traditional teaching methods and develops an innovative methodology aimed at improving students’ spatial thinking abilities. The paper highlights the didactic potential of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), 3D modeling, AI-based visual tasks, immersive movement techniques, creative coding, and Smart City 3D modeling methods. Based on experimental studies, the effectiveness of the proposed methodology in increasing student engagement, learning efficiency, spatial reasoning, and educational motivation is scientifically substantiated.
