Abstract
Arterial hypertension complicated by metabolic syndrome represents a major cause of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. Conventional antihypertensive drugs effectively lower blood pressure but often have limited impact on insulin resistance and autonomic imbalance, which are central features of metabolic syndrome.
