The Pedagogical Ideas of Lyuben Karavelov

LyubenKaravelov (1834-1879) was a noted author, publicist, ethnographer and educator, and an organizer of the revolutionary-democratic forces of the Bulgarian people during the 60's and 70's of the 19th century. He has been described as the "Balkan Herzen" in literature dealing with the period, and he did, in fact, owe much to the great Russian thinker.
