The angular dependence of the periods of “high-temperature” oscillations in the magnetoresistance of bismuth
Аннотация
The angular dependence of the periods of the “high-temperature” oscillations of the magnetoresistance in the three principal crystallographic planes is studied. It is found that several periods can occur for a given direction of the magnetic field, and the angular dependence of the main period of the high-temperature oscillations (HTO) in all planes is similar to the angular dependence of the Shubnikov-de Haas effect for the largest cross section and cyclotron mass. The effect of crystal structure defects (arising during plastic deformation) on the HTO amplitude has been studied. An analysis has been made of the experimental results. A program is mentioned for studies which can uniquely determine the parameters of the energy spectrum of bismuth responsible for the HTO.
