An intermediate state in the region of sublattice inversion in an antiferromagnetic single crystal CuCl2⋅2H2O
Аннотация
The Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) features of protons in copper chloride dihydrate are investigated. A change of NMR frequencies is found, which takes place with change both of the size of the magnetic field and also its orientation relative to the “easy” axis. In a narrow interval of external magnetic fields (the size of the interval amounts to 150 Oersteds) and angles (ψk=20′to25′), a sharp broadening and amplification of the signal is observed. The line shape in this region of fields and angles is asymmetric. Outside this region, the dependence of NMR frequencies on fields remains the usual one. The anomalies observed are explained on the basis of the concept of an intermediate state in antiferromagnets.
