A study has been made of the oscillation effect in a cylindrical conductor in a weak magnetic field (effects of flux-quantization type) for an arbitrary quasiparticle dispersion law and weak diffuse electron scattering at the surface. The oscillation period is Δ Φ = h c/e; if the conditions (kFσ)2 > (1/3π)ln (π/6)kFR, л5/2 (kFσ)2l/2 R ≲ 1 are met, the main contribution to the oscillations in the thermodynamic quantities comes from glancing electrons (kF is the Fermi wave vector, σ is the height of the roughness, l is the roughness length, and R is the radius of the cylinder), whose wave functions are localized near the surface of the conductor.
