Dislocation and domains in an antiferromagnet

It is shown that in an antiferromagnet with anisotropy of the “easy plane” type a dislocation perpendicular to the plane can generate magnetic stacking faults. If the magnetic anisotropy in the plane is neglected, then a disclination of the magnetic ordering is associated with the dislocation. With fourth-order anisotropy, two-90-degree domain walls terminate at the dislocation.
