Аннотация

The third-order elastic moduli of alkali metals are calculated in the local two-parameter pseudopotential model {V. G. Vaks, E. V. Zarochentsev, S. P. Kravchuk, V. P. Safronov, and A. V. Trefilov, Institute of Metal Physics Preprint [in Russian], Sverdlovsk (1976); V. G. Vaks and A. V. Trefilov, Fiz. Tverd. Tela 19, 244 (1976) [Sov. Phys. Solid State 19, 139 (1976)}. Deviations from the Cauchy relations are analyzed. The pressure derivatives of the second-order elastic moduli are calculated as a function of the temperature. Comparisons are made with the results of experimental and other theoretical studies.
