Аннотация
The ultrasound velocity has been measured in liquid neon by means of a pulse technique at 5 MHz at temperatures between 26.95°K and 38.88°K and pressures as high as 150 atm. The generalized law of corresponding states (LCS) is used to analyze the data. It is shown that in neon deviations from the law of corresponding states are due primarily to quantum effects, and a consistent method for including such effects is suggested.
