Surface impedance oscillations of thin conductors in the radio frequency range
Аннотация
The surface impedance of thin metal plates is investigated theoretically in the radio frequency range for an arbitrary scattering index of the charge carriers by the specimen surface. The main attention is paid to oscillations in the surface impedance, which are analogous to the Sondheimer oscillations in the static conductivity. Dependences of the impedance on the magnitude of the magnetic field and the thickness of the specimen are obtained for different forms of the scattering index. An experimental investigation of the oscillations for different angles of inclination of the magnetic field permits detailed information to be obtained about the interaction between conduction electrons and the conductor surface.
