Аннотация
The high frequency magnetic susceptibility tensor of an Ising ferromagnet with arbitrary atomic spin in a weak constant magnetic field perpendicular to the anisotropy axis is calculated quantum mechanically. The result is compared with the result of a semiclassical calculation and it is shown that the quantum mechanical result differs significantly from the classical, agreeing only in the limit of infinite atomic spin.
