NMR measurements of the spin diffusion coefficient of 3He in solid H2 at 1.4, 1.0, and 0.47 °K at a 3He concentration of 1.6% reveal two phases, one of which is undissolved 3He. Examination of the second phase in samples with 0.16 and 0.10% 3He shows that the diffusion of 3He has a quasi-one-dimensional character. The experimental results can be adequately interpreted on the basis of fast diffusion via dislocations in solid H2.
