Аннотация
The thermal conductivity of an hcp solution of 0.155 at.% He3 in He4 with molar volumes at 18.35 and 19.2 cm3/mole, respectively, was measured over the temperature range from 0.4 °K to the melting point, to supplement such measurements already made1 for He4 with a molar volume of 20.56 cm3/mole. Within the temperature range where a hydrodynamical description of the thermal conductivity holds the mechanisms of phonon scattering are analyzed, the density dependence of the intensity of phonon scattering by the isotope impurity is derived, and the upper limit of the dislocation density in the solid solution is estimated.
