Аннотация

The plastic properties of solid normal hydrogen (orthomodification content 75%) were studied over a wide temperature range 2–12 °K using stepped loading of specimens. It was found that when the temperature varies from 8 to 12 K, the yield stress σ0 decreases by almost an order of magnitude. For T < 8 °K, σ0 is practically independent of temperature. The role of quantum effects is discussed.
