Oscillatory dependence of the magnetoresistance of thin bicrystalline plates
Аннотация
The dependence of the electrical conductivity of thin bicrystalline plates on a magnetic field perpendicular to the outer surfaces of the specimen and to the crystallite interface is investigated theoretically. It is shown that along with the conventional Sondheimer oscillations, there arise harmonics associated with electron motion within the crystallites. The intensity of such harmonics in the nonmonotonic part of the magnetoresistance is determined by the degree of diffuseness of the crystallite interfaces. The amplitude of the oscillations due to electrons which cross the plane separating the crystallites is proportional to the probability of the passage of charge carriers through this plane without scattering.
