Аннотация

IR absorption spectra of the α phase of N214 in the temperature range 3−25 °K at frequencies from 5 to 110 cm −1, as well as of the isotope N215 in the range 25−110 cm−1 at 7 °K have been investigated. The influence of defects and impurities on the spectrum was studied. The presence of two-phonon combinational frequencies, the existence of forbidden one-phonon maxima, the presence of a non-monotonic continuum in the spectrum were established. The nature of multiphonon interactions observed in the far IR spectra of α-N2, particularly the role of optic anharmonicity, is discussed.
