Effect of phase boundary transformation on the velocity of its steady-state motion in DyFeO3
Аннотация
The kinetics of antiferromagnet-weak ferromagnet phase transition induced by a magnetic field H = (O, Hy, Hz) is studied in dysprosium orthoferrite. The setting time for the equilibrium orientation of the antiferromagnetism vector in the antiferromagnetic state is measured and is shown to be much shorter than the time of motion of phase boundaries observed in a dynamic experiment. The problem on the steady-state motion of phase wall in DyFeO3 in the field H = (O, Hy, Hz) is solved numerically. It is shown that phase boundary transformation consisting in the variation of the angle of inclination and effective width of the wall leads to an asymmetric nonlinear field dependence of the velocity of its steady-state motion, which agrees qualitatively with the experimental dependence.
