Linear magnetoelectric effect in a two-layer ferroelectric–ferromagnetic system

Surface linear magnetoelectic effect (LMEE) is studied in semi-infinite ferroelectric-ferromagnet and semi-infinite ferroelectric-ferromagnetic film contact systems. It is shown that the value of LMEE increases on the contact surface in direct proportion to the dielectric susceptibility of the ferroelectric.
