Ultrasonic spectroscopy of a La2CuO4 crystal in the vicinity of the tetra–ortho phase transition

The processing of experimental data on the propagation of sound in La2CuO4 in the vicinity of the structural tetra–ortho transition makes it possible to determine the type and properties of the soft phonon mode responsible for the phase transition and the type of unit cell deformation.
