Structure of condensed n-H2–Ne films
Аннотация
Electron diffraction studies have been carried out for condensed n-H2–Ne films. In order to extend the range of existence of solid solutions, the mixtures being deposited were preliminarily cooled and then condensed on a substrate whose temperature did not exceed 2.3 K. An analysis of the observed diffraction patterns and concentration dependence of lattice parameters made it possible to determine the range of existence of solid solutions in samples formed under certain conditions. It is found that the limiting solubility of neon in the fee matrix of hydrogen approaches 3 mol.%, while the solubility of hydrogen in neon lies beyond the sensitivity of the electron diffraction technique and hence does not exceed 0.6 mol.%.
