Аннотация
This paper discusses the use of liquid crystals (LCs) to study the domain structure in magnetic materials. Domains on the surface of thin amorphous films made from cobalt-containing alloys have been studied by means of LCs that possess giant diamagnetic anisotropy. The results of using LCs are compared with the results obtained using magnetic emulsions. © 2005 Optical Society of America
