Powder with grain size about one micron is prepared from mullite (2SiO23Al2O3) melt containing 0.5 weight percent of ceramic, converting the primary energy to pulsed infrared (IR) radiation. Composite polyethylene films are produced containing 0.5, 1.0, and 2 weight percent of the obtained charge. Use of these polyethylene- ceramic films is shown to significantly accelerate the process of vegetable drying under the action of light.
