Аннотация

The cost structure of solar power supply to an individual household using thermo-and photovoltaic converters as compared to diesel-generator sets of the same capacity was studied. The standard average depreciation of such converters is 8% (operation life is 12.5 years). Calculation of fuel costs and expenses on spare parts and accessories shows that thermo-and photovoltaic converters will be more efficient in use than diesel-generator sets even if power supply rates for the former two are 1000 and 9000 US$/kW, respectively. Therefore, from the point of view of an end user, the efficiency factor, the commonly accepted efficiency criterion for these converters, does not reflect their true efficiency.
