„Accabadora“ di Michela Murgia tra finzione e tradizione
Аннотация
The purpose of this diploma paper was to analyze the novel Accabadora by Michela Murgia in the context of postmodern literature as well as Sardinian culture. The life and work of the author was shortly presented before analysis of the novel. The first chapter of analysis presents the concept of postmodern literature theoretically and is followed by analysis of the novel in the context of this literary period. The second chapter presents some of the written sources on the phenomenon of accabadora, i.e. its appearance, work and morality. This chapter also includes the comparison between the figure of accabadora depicted by Murgia and the one presented by written sources. Finally, the third chapter of analysis is occupied with the relationship between mother and daughter, especially when the one has the role of accabadora and the other one is adopted as fillus de anima. Thus, the novel Accabadora is the postmodern novel that contemplates upon the questions of life and death, morality, personal choices and maternity, and all this from the perspective of Sardinian culture.
