We review the new content of the course “Methods of teaching Informatics”, which is improved by including topics related to the didactic capabilities of modern Web-technologies in this paper. In the course of the study, the basic competencies for the use of Web technologies in students of pedagogical higher educational institutions are determined. 179 students from Tashkent state pedagogical University (TSPU), Jizzakh pedagogical Institute (DSPI) and Kokand pedagogical Institute (KPI) were involved as an experimental platform. The results of experimental work analyzed on the basis of student's t-test showed the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
