Methods for Increasing and Assessing Reliability of Medical Equipment
Аннотация
The article presents the results of a study of methods to increase and evaluate the reliability of medical equipment. The failure of medical equipment can give false testimony during diagnosis and can affect the health of a person, both the patient and the doctor. Depending on the possible consequences of failure during operation, medical devices are divided into groups, which must be taken into account when determining reliability. The basic provisions of reliability are analyzed. Many medical devices are designed based on microprocessor systems, namely microcontrollers. In this regard, issues of increasing and assessing reliability are considered on the example of an electroencephalograph (EEG). To increase the reliability of the device, it is proposed to duplicate its main component - a microcontroller. The methods of increasing and calculating the reliability of the EEG are given. A method and algorithm and a Markov model for assessing the reliability of an EEG microcontroller are proposed and realized in the C++ programming system. In this case, when choosing a method for calculating the reliability parameters, it is necessary to take into account many factors that affect the proctration and operation of the device. The developed algorithm makes it possible to assess the reliability of medical equipment and microprocessor control systems at the design stage, therefore it is recommended for use by developers.
