The enhancement of legal awareness and culture in society is an important condition for the rule of law and the strengthening of the rule of law. This article discloses the concept and essence of legal culture and legal consciousness. The main tasks of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of January 9, 2019 "On the radical improvement of the system of improving the legal consciousness and legal culture in society"are commented on.
