Фуқаролик Жамияти. 1 дарс. [Civil Society. Lecture 1.]
Аннотация
In this video lecture, Aktam Jalilov examines the concept of civil society, focusing on its definition, historical origins, and social foundations. He traces the development of civil society back to the period of industrialization in England, highlighting the emergence of the first trade unions and showing how conflicts between workers and employers contributed to the formation of a strong collective identity among the labor force. The lecture also explores how, in the salons and clubs of London, Liverpool, and Paris, factory owners were compelled to include the so-called urban bourgeoisie in their social circles, giving rise to a new social stratum that laid a durable foundation for civil society. Furthermore, the lecture compares how civil society manifests in other regions and considers the social, political, and cultural factors that shape it. It provides a scholarly definition of the concept while offering a comparative perspective across different historical and geographical contexts, highlighting the structural and institutional elements that contribute to its sustainability.
