Filtration rates in roller pressing of fibrous materials

The results of the study of filtration rates of the roller pressing of fibrous materials are presented in the article. Analytical dependencies that describe the patterns of changes in filtration rates in the pressing area are determined. It was found that the fluid filtration rate along the abscissa at the boundaries of the compression zone is zero, and inside the zone, it takes negative values. The fluid filtration rates along the ordinate and polar radius have identical patterns of change in the compression zone. They are zero at the beginning of the compression zone and increase to a maximum at a point lying on the line of centers. It was revealed that the patterns of changes in filtration rates in the recovery zone depend on the angle, which determines the position of the point where the fluid changes its direction.
