The role of debate in speaking skill

AbstractIn this article 1 want to highlight that Russian teacher should take advantage of debate during Russian classes. It should be demonstrated by the certain rules and guidelines which can lead to a rational and well-structured debate. Typically, in debate there are two debates are presented the topic that they will discuss. According to the chosen topic each team should prepare an argument. After indicating guidelines of debate, it is reasonable to conclude that, debate helps students to achieve self-esteem to express their own opinion in the group. In addition, debate improves critical thinking of the students.
