THE ROLE OF PSYCHOLOGICAL SCIENCE IN THE RESEARCH OF POVERTY

The article highlights and describes two conceptual approaches to the definition of thephenomenon of poverty - absolute and relative. Separate historical stages of the study of poverty,as well as psychological and value bases of the poor subculture are considered. The articleanalyzes the experience of recent research in this area and new approaches to the fight againstpoverty.
