COMPARATIVE AND LINGUOCULTURAL STUDY OF LEXICAL DOUBLETS OF THE ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES

Abstract: This article analyzes the issues related to the functional-semantic and linguocultural study of the lexical doublets of the English and Uzbek languages on the basis of comparing the lexical doublets of the two languages. According to some studies, it was revealed that to date, the lexical doublets in the English and Uzbek languages have not been fully studied in terms of linguocultural, functional and comparative aspects. Consequently, this article is devoted to a comparative study of the linguocultural nature of lexical doublets in the English and Uzbek languages.
