THE ROLE OF THE PRIMARY FAMILY IN THE RELIGIOUS SOCIALIZATION OF YOUTH

Аннотация

The article describes a terminological definition of the concept of “religious socialization”, its stages are considered. The main drivers of the formation of confessional identity are revealed. The role of the primary family in religious socialization and the formation of the confessional identity of young people are demonstrated. The role of the mother, as the main agent of religious socialization in the appearance and formation of confessional identity, is especially highlighted. The problems and consequences of replacing traditional agents of religious socialization with destructive sources of the Internet are described. The intergenerational gap is considered as one of the reasons for the psychological distancing of young people from the primary family. The counter-argumentation of some paradoxical doctrines in the process of religious socialization is demonstrated.
