Аннотация

Abstract: Approaching euphemisms which are used alternatively, in the place of words that are morally and culturally inappropriate among members of society from modern linguistic perspective, especially medical euphemisms between physician-patient communication, coming to new scientific and theoretical conclusions, and revealing their lexical-semantic, methodological-functional, pragma linguistic and gender features are essential. Diversity of lexical-grammatical form of medical euphemisms, emotional coloring / colorlessness of them, features of variability, identifying distinctive aspects of a euphemistic unit that differ from a non-euphemistic unit, social and methodological adaptation of the euphemism, metaphoric features of the nomination, aspects of euphemisms’ interrelationship with linguistic phenomena are clarified in the article.
