Аннотация

Abstract. Many research studies have connected neuropsychological disorders and hypothyroidism among newborns, children, older people, and other pathologies such as stroke, myocardial infarction, chronic brain ischemia, metabolic syndrome, etc. The present research studied the state of the nervous system and cognitive sphere in patients with hypothyroidism of young age. The study aimed to describe neurological and cognitive disorders in primary hypothyroidism as well as factors contributing to their development. However, neuropsychological examination in hypothyroid patients was not isolated among the young age group when other pathologies affecting cognitive activity were excluded. The neuropsychological examination was carried out in 75 patients with clinical and biochemical attributes of hypothyroidism who were divided into the study groups taking into account the severity of hypothyroidism and underwent a neuropsychological examination using international scales and tests (MMSE, FAB, CDT). The study results showed the severity of cognitive impairment in the studied groups of patients compared to the control groups. An important point of this study is that different types of cognitive functions suffer to various degrees. The results obtained can be used in endocrinology, neurology, therapy, family physicians practice, teaching students, masters.
