PHARMACOEPIDEMIOLOGY OF THE USE OF CEPHALOSPORSINS IN THE PERIOD OF EXAMINATION OF CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE
Аннотация
The article illustrates the pharmacoepidemiology of the use of antibacterial drugs on the example of cephalosporins, since irrational dosing, lowering the dose of antibacterial drugs below the doses specified in local and international guidelines and standards, and reducing the duration of treatment can cause of the development of microorganism resistance. Analyzing the doses and duration of the use of cephalosporins in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), irrational use and incorrect dosing regimen of some cephalosporins (cefazolin, cefepime) were established, which are common mistakes in the use of antibiotics, and this in turn contributes to a decrease in their effectiveness and the development of microbial resistance to these drugs. A higher average duration of cefazolin use (7.8±2.3) compared to other cephalosporins indicates a decrease in the effectiveness of the drug and this may be due to irrational use and incorrect dosing of cefazolin.
