EFFECTIVENESS OF BICANALICULAR INTUBATION OF TEARS WITH NASOLACRIMAL SILICONE TUBES IN EXTERNAL DACRIOTISTORINOSTOMY
Аннотация
Objective: Clinical evaluation of the effectiveness of bicanical intubation of the tear ducts with nasolacrimal silicone tubes in external dacryocystorinostomy in patients with chronic dacryocystitis. Materials and methods: To evaluate the results of dacryocystorinostomy surgery with bicanical intubation of the tear ducts with silicone tubes, direct and long-term results of surgery in 22 patients (22 eyes) operated at SamMI eye clinic in the last 5 years 'rganildi. Results: The results of the operation are considered positive (full effect) if the instilled fluorescein is passed quickly and independently through the silicone tube into the nasal cavity of the operation, and the fluorescein lacrimal lake is lightly inhaled or is effective if left with increased nasal aspiration. Shortly after surgery, lacrimal drainage was restored in all 22 patients. In long-term follow-up, the full effect was obtained in 90.9% of cases (20 eyes), partial - in 9.1% of cases. Conclusion: The method of intubation of lacrimal ducts with silicone tubes developed by us during external dacryocystorinostomy reduces the duration of treatment and recurrence of this disease, improves the quality of treatment.
