ASSESSMENT OF THE NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF YOUNG PEOPLE ON THE BASIS OF BIOPEDANCEMETRY
Аннотация
In Uzbekistan, in recent decades, much attention has been paid to the formation of a healthy lifestyle, one of the main components of which is rational nutrition. One of the problems associated with nutrition is overweight and obesity as a result of the formation of abnormal or excessive body fat. Therefore, the search for new methods of combating overweight among the population is becoming increasingly important. Purpose of the study: assess the nutritional status of young people based on the results of a bioimpedance study. Materials and methods. The study involved 125 persons aged 19-28 years (average age was 24.7 ± 2.24) on a voluntary basis, among which there were 73 boys and 52 girls. All participants in the study underwent anthropometric measurements. Height was measured using a stadiometer, waist circumference and hip circumference using a centimeter tape. Body weight, body mass index, and fat mass distribution index) were determined using the «InBody230» body composition analyzer software, followed by body composition analysis. The results obtained showed gender differences in both anthropometric and bioimpedance parameters. The study observed a high proportion of young people with excessive nutritional status. In guys with normal body weight, the content of body fat mass was often lower than that in guys with overweight. Accordingly, these same subjects had higher skeletal muscle mass. In persons with BMI ≥25, overweight was determined due to the high proportion of skeletal muscle mass, which was determined in 13.7% of boys and 7.7% of girls.
