The difficult situation in French society and a number of economic factors led to the 1848 revolution. The most important of them are favorable conditions for industrial development, the strengthening of the role of the bourgeoisie in society, the social problems that arose as a result of the rapid development that led to the revolution and the establishment of the Second Republic in the country. The article is devoted to the economic development and problems of France on the eve of the 1848 revolution.
