<em>The purpose of this study is to determine the main motivating factors of employees working, students studying at universities in Uzbekistan. The study includes quantitative and qualitative research methods. The article considers the statistical data on the results of the admission of applicants to higher educational institutions of the country. It is proposed as a task to attract talented and motivated applicants, undergraduates and graduate students based on the fact that the basis for the successful development of the university is capable and purposeful people who can both see current problems and offer their best solutions.</em>
