Topicality. In the last decade of the 20th century and at the beginning of the 21st century, specialists in the treatment of patients with diabetes (DM) pay attention to the diabetic foot syndrome (DFS) with critical lower limb ischemia. According to recent data, diabetes is one of the most prevalent endocrine diseases in the world today. According to the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), by 2030 the number of patients with type 2 diabetes will double to 552 million and will be the 7th leading cause of death [6].
