Study of the issues of determining the parameters of the flexural rigidity of saw working bodies

Abstract The article investigates the issue of determining the flexural rigidity of a gin saw cylinder formed by tying onto a shaft a package of disks having the same thickness at different diameters and compressed by a longitudinal compressive force. The stated problem is solved on the basis of the general rules of theoretical mechanics and force analysis. Due to the lightening of the elements of the saw cylinders, its design is improved, the general functions of the bending rigidity of the saw cylinder, the thickness of the elements, the magnitude of the friction force between them are obtained. A method and device for assembling saw cylinders has been developed, which makes it possible to increase in the consumption of saws and gaskets by a value limited by the strength only to the impact of the shaft and by regulating to increase in dynamics with a high probability.
