UZBEKISTAN AND KAZAKHSTAN IN SOLVING ISSUES OF RESTORATION OF THE ARAL REGION

Relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan include a wide range of issues of multifaceted partnership, including in political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres. Promising areas are projects for the joint introduction of the latest water-saving technologies and work with international donors. Both countries have suffered the most from the drying up of the Aral Sea. This also applies to further strengthening of cooperation for the rational use of water resources. Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are implementing large-scale work on the active introduction of advanced water saving technologies. An extremely important direction is a large-scale program of planting moisture-resistant plants on the dried bottom of the Aral Sea. It is important to continue work to increase the level of cooperation in scientific and educational support for the development process of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in the framework of the "green" economy.
