SOCIAL REFORM IN POVERTY REDUCTION

The article analyzes in detail the essence and scientific definitions of poverty, and also discusses a number of theories of the study of poverty, including the legal experiment of Thomas Robert Malthus on the formation of urban population, G. Spencer's point of view that poverty is a natural social phenomenon in his work "Social statics". A theoretical analysis of the difference between poverty and extreme poverty is given in the work of E. Reclus "Wealth and Poverty". Social reforms are seen as a driver of poverty reduction. The activities of Uzbekistan to reduce poverty are analyzed, in particular, the analysis of presidential decrees and relevant resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers on poverty reduction. Examples are given from organizations that are directly involved in the reduction of poverty and poverty in Uzbekistan.
