ON THE DESCRIPTION OF ASPECTUAL SEMANTICS

This article is dedicated to the study of theoretical views and trends in the expression of<br> aspectuality in English. An analysis of the main approaches of aspectuality research was carried out.<br> As a result, a brief explanation of the history and approaches of aspectual learning is provided. In<br> this, the grammatical oppositions that form the aspect, the information about the classification of<br> aspect meanings are given. Also, it is proven that aspectuality is an important linguistic tool that forms<br> the composition of the text. Because aspectuality is not only a characteristic of the verb, but it is<br> analyzed as a linguistic phenomenon that provides the temporal content of all language units under<br> the influence of the context.<br> <br>
