VI-XI CENTURIES STUDY OF SUGHD WRITTEN MONUMENTS AS A HISTORICAL SOURCE

This scientific article analyzes the study of written monuments of Sogda as historical sources, their content and essence, as well as their historical significance, the role of documents in the study of the history of the past, the impact on political, socio-economic and cultural life based on historical sources and literature. The historiographical analysis of the work done by scientists during the XX century on the study of Sogdian historical written sources highlights the classification of Sogdian written monuments according to their content, tasks and goals.
