Use OF Urea-Formaldehyde Foam Sorbents for Water AND Soil Treatment From Petroleum Contaminants

The oil and gas industry is the main raw material base of the fuel and energy complex and many processing industries, which ultimately determines the development of the entire economy, as evidenced by the continuous increase in the specific importance of these natural hydrocarbons in the fuel balance of the developed world. Large volumes of oil production, transportation, storage and refining are a key factor in the pollution of the environment with oil and products of its processing. In this regard, a new foam material and technology for its use for rapid containment and elimination of oil pollution in case of emergency spills has been developed to reduce the damage caused to water and soil.
